*God and Science*
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands... There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard." — Psalm 19:1-4
It is a beautiful concept that science represents humanity's desire to explain all of creation—from the things that are seen to those that remain unseen; the laws that govern them; and the immense power, intelligence, wisdom, and love that lie behind each one. The impact encompassing all of creation is so awe-inspiring that it comes as no surprise that the greatest scientists have joyfully acknowledged that, behind it all, only the existence of a marvelous Being—GOD—could have conceived it. And with all humility, they ask God to allow them to unravel His mysteries and place them at the service of humanity! How beautiful it is to feel that, through science—by recognizing His majesty, perfection, and divinity—one draws so close to God; thus, science becomes a form of praising God with thanksgiving.
Science and faith complement one another. Science helps us understand *how* the world works, while faith helps us understand the *why* and the purpose behind everything.
"By wisdom the Lord laid the earth’s foundations,
by understanding he set the heavens in place;
by his knowledge the deeps were divided,
and the clouds let drop the dew." — Proverbs 3:19-20
A final reflection on the relationship between science and God:
"It is as if science were a path to discover the greatness and beauty of creation, and in doing so, we draw closer to God." — Anonymous
